Mindy Weber specializes in Child Counseling, Teen Counseling and Family Counseling in the Farmington, MO area. Her special interest areas include working with defiance, supporting clients and their families who are going through child and family adjustments such as divorce or the loss of a loved one, and helping children and teens learn anger management skills through a combination of Child Counseling and Family Counseling.
Mindy currently works full time in an inpatient mental health setting and has also provided Group, Individual, and Family Counseling to adolescents involved in various judicial systems. Her past professional experience also includes work with children who have been physically, emotional, and/or sexually abused.
Mindy feels that a child’s environment has a large impact on how the child or adolescent behaves and enjoys working with the family as a whole to support overall progress. Mindy feels that successful Teen Counseling involves being completely honest with the teen and is straightforward in her Teen Counseling sessions. When working with children, Mindy uses a combination of Child-Focused Therapy, including Sand Tray, Art Therapy, and numerous other proven child specific interventions. She practices from a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy perspective. Mindy also provides Christian based counseling when specifically requested. She provides Child Counseling, Teen Counseling and Family Counseling at the Farmington Office.
