Michelle Wagner MSRC, LPC
Michelle Wagner is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in Teen Counseling. Michelle’s primary area of focus is on teen girls who are at-risk. Michelle works with teens who are suffering from a variety of emotional and behavioral problems, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, teen pregnancy, and other areas of concern.
In working with teens, Michelle uses a combination of individual and family counseling. Michelle believes in the importance of including parents in family counseling with teens so that the teen develops trust with their parents and gains a support system to help them through the tough teen years. Michelle understands what it is like for a teen who feels like they have somehow lost their way. Michelle believes in the importance of helping teens get on the right track as quickly as possible so that they can grow into healthy, functioning adults.
Michelle pulls from a variety of therapeutic perspectives, frequently using Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills. Michelle understands that what works for one, does not work for all, so she tailors her therapeutic strategies to best fit the individual needs of her clients.
