Shannon Anderson MA, LPC, NCC, KPMT
Owner, Clinical Director

 

Shannon Anderson is the Owner and Clinical Director of Tender Hearts Child Therapy Center. Shannon provides child counseling for children and teens with Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.  He is a Parent Management Training Clinician in the Kazdin MethodTM (KPMT). Parent Management Training is an Evidenced-Based Treatments for children and teens with defiant, aggressive, and antisocial behaviors.


Shannon is also a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. He has advanced training in Play Therapy which guides his work with younger children and their families.  

Shannon has been the owner and Clinical Director of Tender Hearts since August of 2010. He focuses his work on Child Counseling, Teen Counseling, and Family Counseling services.

Debra is a Child Clinical Psychologist with an emphasis on working with Children, Teens, and their Families.  She feels the child counseling relationship should be interactive and treats her clients with respect at all times.

Brittany Meredith MA, PLPC

Brittany is under the Supervision of Dr. Janice Ward (License #2001024151). Brittany specializes in teen counseling and family counseling.  Brittany works with teens struggling with anxiety or depression, or who have been victims of abuse. Brittany also works with the families and caretakers of children of all ages to improve parenting skills and parent-child relationships.

Marcia Smith MEd, LPC
Marcia Smith enjoys providing child counseling and family counseling.   She uses a variety of approaches, including child-centered counseling and bibliotherapy.  Marcia has training in Cognitive Processing Therapy, an Evidence-Based approach to counseling for treating Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.

Meleia Sides MA, PLPC

Meleia is under the Supervision of Anthony Harris (License #002744). Meleia works with children and teens who have a variety of concerns, including ADHD, self-injury/self-harm, and anxiety. Meleia believes that thinking affects behavior and thus working on changing the unhealthy thinking patterns of her clients is often a focus of her counseling sessions.

Phyllis Rowe LMSW
Phyllis Rowe is under the supervision of Stacy Scott (License Number 2002014995). Phyllis works with children, teens, and their families who are experiencing a variety of problems, including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anxiety, and other life transitions. Phyllis uses a combination of Person-Centered, Holistic, and Solution-Focused therapy. By combining these approaches, Phyllis meets her clients where they are in their view of their issue and considers the whole person and all areas of their lives.

Michelle Wagner MSRC, LPC

Michelle specializes in Teen Counseling. She works with teens who are suffering from a variety of emotional and behavioral problems, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, teen pregnancy, and other areas of concern. Michelle understands what it is like for a teen who feels like they have somehow lost their way. Michelle believes in the importance of helping teens get on the right track as quickly as possible so that they can grow into healthy, functioning adults.

Cathy is under the supervision of Sue Decatur-Davis (License #2003032239). Cathy is a child and teen counselor, having past experience helping teens who have experienced trauma, sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, self-harm, and a variety of other traumas.
