Shannon Anderson MA, LPC, NCC, KPMT
Owner, Clinical Director

 

Shannon Anderson is the Owner and Clinical Director of Tender Hearts Child Therapy Center. Shannon provides child counseling for children and teens with Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.  He is a Parent Management Training Clinician in the Kazdin MethodTM (KPMT). Parent Management Training is an Evidenced-Based Treatments for children and teens with defiant, aggressive, and antisocial behaviors.


Shannon is also a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. He has advanced training in Play Therapy which guides his work with younger children and their families.  

Shannon has been the owner and Clinical Director of Tender Hearts since August of 2010. He focuses his work on Child Counseling, Teen Counseling, and Family Counseling services.

Marcia Smith MEd, LPC
Marcia Smith enjoys providing child counseling and family counseling.   She uses a variety of approaches, including child-centered counseling and bibliotherapy.  Marcia has training in Cognitive Processing Therapy, an Evidence-Based approach to counseling for treating Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.

Meleia Sides EdS, LPC

Meleia works with children and teens who have a variety of concerns, including ADHD, self-injury/self-harm, and anxiety. Meleia believes that thinking affects behavior and thus working on changing the unhealthy thinking patterns of her clients is often a focus of her counseling sessions.

Nancy Townsend MA, LPC
Nancy Townsend specializes in working with children, teens, and their families who are dealing with issues involving adjustment, anxiety, self-esteem, school performance, and grief and loss. Michelle Wagner MSRC, LPC

Michelle specializes in Teen Counseling. She works with teens who are suffering from a variety of emotional and behavioral problems, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, teen pregnancy, and other areas of concern. Michelle understands what it is like for a teen who feels like they have somehow lost their way. Michelle believes in the importance of helping teens get on the right track as quickly as possible so that they can grow into healthy, functioning adults.

Heather Attaway MA, LPC
Heather works with children and teens struggling with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anxiety, and life transitions such as divorce or loss. Heather believes in helping her clients with a non-judgmental perspective and uses a variety of therapeutic approaches to best fit her clients’ individual needs.

Darline Grebe MSW, LCSW
Darline works with children and teens who are dealing with concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Darline strives to make sure her clients are comfortable and feel open expressing themselves. Darline understands that children and teens need to feel safe and comfortable in order to work out whatever is troubling them. Darline frequently uses art in her counseling sessions so that her clients can express and work through their troubles.

Jeremy is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor under the supervision of Charles Johnson (License Number 000059). Amanda is under the supervision of Darline Grebe (License Number 2003003971). Amanda is a child counselor, working with children with anxiety, ADHD, defiance, and anger problems. Kevin has worked in the Mental Health field for over 12 years. Nearly all of Kevin’s experience is working with children, especially teenage boys.
