Brittany is under the Supervision of Dr. Janice Ward (License #2001024151). Brittany is a teen counselor and family counselor who enjoys working with teens struggling with anxiety or depression. Brittany also works with teens that have suffered domestic violence or are experiencing grief and loss. Brittany is devoted to helping parents with children of all ages develop parenting skills and learn to nurture stronger parent-child relationships.
As a teen counselor, Brittany focuses her counseling sessions on providing empathy and unconditional positive regard. Brittany is passionate about fostering a good relationship with her clients. She works from a Person-Centered approach. In Person-Centered therapy, Brittany operates from the standpoint that the client is the expert in her own life and when the proper conditions are provided people are better able to reach their full potential. Brittany focuses on providing the relationship and environment that promotes change and growth. Brittany individualizes her approach to fit each of her clients’ individual needs and borrows techniques from other therapies to help her clients reach their goals and achieve the results they desire.
Brittany has training in Green Bear, a community-based program to help educate the public on child abuse and neglect. Brittany has attended training on suicide prevention and in working with individuals with Autism.
Brittany provides Child Counseling, Teen Counseling and Family Counseling at our Main Office in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Brittany enjoys spending time with her 3 daughters and step-son. Her family enjoys playing with the family pets, including a chihuahua and horses.
